Description
A refractometer measures the sugar content of a liquid and reports it in degrees Brix. One degree Brix is one gram of sugar in one hundred grams of solution, so a higher Brix reading means a sweeter, more concentrated liquid. This is a hand-held optical model: you put a drop of juice or syrup on the prism, hold it up to the light and read the sugar level through the eyepiece, so it needs no batteries. Its scale runs from 0 to 32 Brix, which covers fruit juice, soft drinks and fruit ripeness testing; very high-sugar products like honey or heavy syrup need a higher-range model instead. It is used by juice and drink makers, fruit growers checking ripeness, food processors and college labs. Made in China and carried at a published price. In stock at our Lahore shop.
