The TDS-3 measures total dissolved solids in water and reports the result in parts per million, or ppm. Total dissolved solids is the amount of minerals and salts dissolved in the water, so a higher ppm reading means less pure water. It is a pocket meter you dip into a glass or sample, so home users can check an RO filter, and water suppliers and shops that fit filtration can check a supply quickly.
